Parents,
All of us at Surge Soccer Club are so excited to get the season underway! We will be spending the next two weeks finalizing coaches and placing players on teams, etc. I will be sending various emails as we get closer to the season starting with important information.
Important Dates:
- Spring Kick Off Event – Saturday, Feb 20th (TBA) via Zoom
- This will be done via zoom and I will send out a link along with the zoom meet times (TBA) this weekend or first part of next week.
- It is an informal informational meeting, not mandatory. The coaches will be contacting all players with what they will need to bring, practices days and times, etc.
- Practices will begin on Monday, February 22, 2021You should hear from your coach before or right after February 20th.
- Games for in-house will be on Saturday, March 6thGames will be every Saturday (except the travel teams). We will be off the weekend of March 20th for Spring Break.
- End of the Season Tournament is tentatively planned for May 1st However, we have reserved the following Saturday in case we have to cancel a weekend due to inclement weather.
- Travel Teams will have a separate schedule and will be contacted by their coach next week.
What to Bring
- Players need to have shin guards and soccer cleats (2015-2016 kids can wear tennis shoes),
- A water bottle.
- If you would like to bring a soccer ball:
- Size 3 ball for (2014-2016)
- Size 4 ball for (2011-2013)
- Size 5 ball for (2005-2010)
Payment
- If you still have an outstanding balance, please either contact the registrar (mclapper@surgesoccertx.org) or bring payment to the first game on March 6th
- We have a no pay, no play policy. This policy means that unless you have paid before the season begins or otherwise worked out a payment plan with the club, your child will not be allowed to participate after the 1st game on March 6th.
- There will be someone at the first game to accept payments.
- We have financial aid available for anyone who requests it and we encourage you to take advantage of it if needed.
Behavior Policy
Surge Soccer Club has instituted a behavior policy. When you registered, you agreed to abide by that behavior policy. Violations of this policy will result in action from our disciplinary board. The document is available on our website for all those who wish to have a copy.
