Surge Soccer Club Players and Families,
We are excited to announce that we will be hosting a Grassroots referee course for new referees at 5 Mile Dam on August 24, beginning at 6:30 pm. Refereeing is a great way to make some money and be around the sport that we all love. You must be 13 years or older to register for the course.

We always need referees and pay ranges from $15-$65 depending on the age groups you are refereeing. You must be able to be assertive, know the rules of the game, and even be willing to help teach the youngest players. This is a great first job and can become something you can do into adulthood (as it has for me). I also have some other great news!!
Because our club is a member of STYSA, your referee course benefits from a generous USYS grant awarded to STYSA to supply uniform kits to your registrants. I have included a link above so you can see the kit provided. The only requirement for the referee candidate is that all online assignments are completed before attending the course field training session.
More details are sent to the referee candidate after the field training session is complete.
This kit is valued at $80 and the course is only $65!!!!
